How To Balance Online Work & Selfcare

Social media is a fantastic place to meet new people, connect with like minded inspiring beings from any place in the world and to share your gifts with everyone.

As creatives, entrepreneurs, yogis and literally most of us here tend to spend more time on social media than needed, there can be an imbalance that just makes you crave 'life before' or simply more time offline.I get it.

Creating this balance of joy, inspiration and necessity if work brings you here, and life off the net focusing on what matters, spend time interacting in person and doing something else, maybe self-caring to bring back a sense of peace and calm.

I am thrilled to have yoga & business coach Della Jean @yogateacher_ceo live with us here to share her 5 tips on how to spend less time online and more time self-caring.

1. spend the first hour of your day offline - if your phone is your clock, switch it off and walk away.

2.spend your last half hour to one hour of your day offline - we all know that the light promotes awake sensation and the mind is confused to what time of day it is

3. plan one day a week of living life offline - set a boundary of not being always available

4. turn off notifications to give yourself focused time for 30 minutes dedicated to one task - one task at a time brings in productivity and calm.

5. schedule your online work, posts, emails, newsletters ahead of time so that - stay in a creation mode instead of consuming

Bottom line is plan ahead, set boundaries, use your freedom of choice, turn inspiration into admiration - give yourself grace and freedom and remember that a calm mind comes from life offline.
